The trays are made of pressed wood and the surface is laminated. They are heat, alcohol and chemical resistant. The brims are sealed with boilable varnish.

1. Scanian tray

Engaged couple from Ingelstad jurisdictional district in Scania.

The couple is a symbol of Charlotte Weibull’s centre for folk culture and has been on many exhibitions. In 1958 the exhibition “Trolovningsfest i Skånegård” (“Engagement feast on a Scanian farm”) was arranged in Poland and also made its way through the Swedish settlements in the USA and in Sweden.

The tray is made of pressed wood and the surface is laminated. It is heat, alcohol and chemical resistant. The brims are sealed with boilable varnish.

2. Summer tray
 

Midsummer Eve is the great festival of summer in Sweden. Nature is at its fairest and there is dancing around the maypole, the symbol of Swedish Midsummer celebrating.
“Midsummer-dancing” is one of Charlotte Weibull´s most popular doll-groups, and often shown at exhibitions. One year it was awarded a prize at the international Doll-biennial in Krakow in Poland.

3. Herring tray

 



The old women selling herring were of a stubborn and tough race. They would often defy storms, rainy, snowy and cold weather, when they met up with the Scanian fishermen early mornings. They filled their “rullebör” (Scanian word for wheel-barrow) with fish and struggled along rough roads with their heavy load.

4. Christmas tray (3 Sizes)

 

Tomten (Father Christmas) was introduced in Sweden in 1851 and Viktor Rydberg’s poem “Tomten”, has given us a lasting impression of this benevolent being. Charlotte Weibull has designed the genuine Swedish tomte in grey attire and red cap since 1958. It is the grey gnome that is the inspiration to the appearance and clothing of Tomtefar and Tomtemor (Father and Mother Christmas).

Tomtefamiljen (The Christmas Family) is the most popular group among the dolls. The tray is made of pressed wood and the surface is laminated. It is heat, alcohol and chemical resistant. The brims are sealed with boilable varnish.

The Book "The wonderful journey of Nils Holgersson" by Selma Lagerlöf was first published in 1906-1907 and was successively translated into more than 50 languages. Nils Holgersson has become a wellknown fairy-tale personality all over the world and is one of our most popular tourist souvenirs. In his company he has Åsa Gåsapiga.
